Correspondence from Vlora
On the 90th anniversary of the birth of comrade Enver Hoxha demonstrations were held throughout Albania of communists, patriots and veterans of the anti-fascist war.
Thousands and thousands of demonstrators in Vlora, Tirana, Fier, Berat, Elbasan, Korca, Stalin City, etc. remembered the revolutionary work and thought of our hero and son of the people, the unforgettable Enver Hoxha.
At Berat the people created an enormous inscription with the name of Enver on top of Mount Shpiragu, using large white rocks.
At Vlora, on October 15, the anniversary of the liberation of our city from the Nazi fascists, a large demonstration was held in which authorities such as the acting Prime Minister, the President of Parliament, etc., etc. also participated.
When a former commander of a partisan formation spoke and stated that Enver Hoxha was and remains our glorious commander, the people present chanted his name in chorus for several minutes: Enver Hoxha, Enver Hoxha.
Surprise that before this popular tribunal the "authorities" present made the best of it and joined in the chorus.
On October 15-16, all Albania was submerged in the writings concerning the Party, Socialism and Enver, while in many places documentaries were shown on the epoch of socialism in our country.
Many of those present, especially the youth, declared that they would follow the road of Enver, Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin.
These demonstrations are only a small step forward; the revolutionary process is just beginning. Under the red flag: proletarians, peasants, youth and all progressive people, united in one Front, against the bourgeoisie, European and U.S. imperialism, will bring Albania back along the road of communism.
Message from our Organization to the demonstration in Vlora
Dear comrades, on this anniversary which recalls comrade Enver Hoxha, we send to you and your people our most fraternal expression of affection and solidarity, which binds us, in the name of the ideals of freedom, progress and Communism.
This is the beginning of the era of the revolution on a world scale, of heroic struggles and of historic victories.
But it is also an epoch of political reaction and of war, in the world and particularly in the strategic points, Europe included.
It is the task of communists to lead the struggle of the people, onto the revolutionary path, in a broad front. Against U.S. and European imperialism, against the political and military integration desired by the capitalist powers, against the reactionary forces and national chauvinism.
Let us hold high the banner of socialism, of true independence, of sovereignty and self-determination, against political, financial and military globalization.
Forward along the victorious road indicated by our teachers Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin, along the road outlined by the greatest son of the Albanian people, the unforgettable comrade Enver Hoxha.
Forward towards the future
