Communist Party of the Workers of Denmark Founded

Official Communiqué

From the Founding Congress of the of the Arbejderpartiet Kommunisterne (APK) (Communist Party of the Workers of Denmark), we greet the parties and organizations of the international Marxist-Leninist communist movement.

We are pleased to announce that the Founding Congress concluded with great success, achieving all the tasks set. The foundation of the Communist Party of the Workers of Denmark marked the foundation of the basis of the communist party of the working class of the XXI century in our country. The Party is determined to lead the struggle of the working class and its allies to overthrow the power of the bourgeoisie and imperialism, and to establish a modern socialist society without exploitation and oppression.

The foundation of the Party marks the conclusion of three years of concrete preparation to unite the Danish communists on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and to unite them around a concrete program of struggle, drawing a clear line of demarcation from modern revisionism and opportunism of all forms. The Communist Organization October for the construction of the Communist Party of Denmark, originated from the Communist Party of Denmark (Marxist-Leninist) (DKP/ML) after its VII Congress in 1997 and the following revisionist degeneration of that party, played an important role in the preparations for the Party, and was dissolved with the foundation of the Party. All the assets of October were handed over to the Party.

The Founding Congress heard and adopted the report to the Congress, “The Communist Party is the party of the working class”, and also discussed and adopted the program of action, “United struggle against capital”, and the statutes of the Party. A great advance of the Congress was the adoption of the “MANIFESTO OF A SOCIALIST DENMARK”, the general program that in the period to come will be distributed extensively among communist sympathizers, revolutionaries and progressives in the whole country. It constitutes the concrete platform of unification of the revolutionary and communist forces in our country today.

The Party will continue to publish Kommunistisk Politik (Communist Politics) as its central bimonthly organ, and Orientering (Orientations) as its theoretical magazine.

From its first day, the Communist Party of the Workers of Denmark will be found at the barricades of the class struggle of the working class and its allies against the offensive of capital. The Party will make its contributions so that the working class and the people of Denmark will vote on September 28 against Denmark’s participation in the Euro and in the third phase of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU). The Communist Party of the Workers of Denmark is part of the international Marxist-Leninist Communist Movement, which was created and developed in the struggle against modern revisionism, based on the teachings of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin.

It will be part of the International Conference of Marxist-Leninists Parties and Organizations, considering that this conference is an indispensable instrument to fortify the unity and collaboration of the Marxist-Leninist communists of the world. The Founding Congress solemnly declares that Arbejderpartiet Kommunisterne, as the Danish section of the international Marxist-Leninist communist movement, will endeavor to fulfill all its internationalist obligations on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and proletarian internationalism.

The Congress greets all the fraternal Marxist-Leninist parties and organizations of the world, expressing its desire to consolidate the mutual relations of cooperation and struggle on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and proletarian internationalism. We wish them success and future advances on the road to the revolution and socialism.

Long live proletarian internationalism!
Long live the international Marxist-Leninist communist movement!
Glory to Marxism-Leninism!

The Founding Congress of the Arbejderpartiet Kommunisterne (Communist Party of the Workers of Denmark)
